Engineering seats could become more expensive for the next academic year private college management eight states require the implementation of a uniform fee of Rs 70 000 RS 80 000 euro per year for the Faculty of Engineering of the country. At its annual meeting here on Saturday, body, Federation of Associations of management of UN-aided vocational schools in India (FAMPEI) adopted a resolution requiring the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to create a uniform pricing structure for engineering colleges in all states.

"Currently, the committee of the prescribed fee at the state level to fix the costs of engineering schools and so there is no uniformity in fees across the country, ranging from Rs 30,000 to Rs 80,000. For Therefore, we want a regulatory body at national level to implement a flat tax that is acceptable to all, "said KS Ravi Kumar, FAMPEI spokesman, adding that the AICTE should assume the task of enforcing a structure uniform pricing. Even if the costs for an engineer based in states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala Rs 38,000 per year in countries such as Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, the annual fee is Rs 78,000.
