                                        Fourth edition of the IPL Twenty20 2011 will consist of 10 teams with two new teams Warriors Pune and Kochi Tusker introduced from this edition of IPL. There will be a total of 74 games will be played in IPL this year at 12 sites.

2011 IPL starts on April 8 with a match between defending champion Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders IPL Chennai expires May 28, 2011.

IPL final was played on May 28 M. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. This version of the IPL is also a strategic timeout in what has been in the last two versions of IPL. First Qualifier (between 1st and 2nd place team) was a May 24, 2011, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, where he held the Eliminator between the third and fourth place team in May 25, at the same place. Then there is the qualification was to decide the third team in the Twenty20 Champions League final between winner and loser Qualifier1 Eliminator.
